Working on the Tree Stump

In the lounge I've made a paper mache bookcase and fixed beams under the ceiling and made a wooden floor from craft sticks which I stained with some wood stain.

I made books for the library at the front of the lounge. I also laid down some carpet.

To have more room in the kitchen I have built a pantry joining onto the kitchen. I'm trying to dress the rooms before I put on the next floor up because once the next floor goes on that will be impossible to do

The Tree Stump

I have just started work on a new house this time it's in the shape of a tree stump with lots of rooms in it which will eventually become a hotel down in the grove.
Some of the bark starting to go on the stump using thick strips of foil hot glued around the outside giving it a bark effect.

Lots of rooms and corridors going in on three floors.
I'm using 3mm foam board which is easy to cut and then hot glue the walls into place after I've cut  any doors or windows out first. Lot's more to do.

Esme's little mishap

Last night down in Bramble grove they had a very nasty storm. Esme huddle down under the blankets grateful that she had her cosy tree house to shelter in. First thing in the morning she ventured out into the garden and this is what she found.

Her toilet door had been blown clean off of it's hinges. Oh dear thought Esme this is so embarrassing I must get it fixed as soon as possible. Then she remembered that Daisy the cake lady had told her that the new family's granddad used to be a carpenter well that could be just what she needed now. So off she went to see the new family in the big new house. Grandpa More was more than happy to help and it didn't take more than a few minuets and all was back to normal.

The door all fixed.

One happy Esme.

Esme hits the cake shop

Esme knows there's a new family moving into the house that's just been built down in the grove and her curiosity is getting the better of her so she decides a trip to the cafe and cake shop is in order. The shop is run by a lady called Daisy and nothing gets past Daisy. Running the cafe and cake shop people are always coming and going so Daisy hear's everything. Plus Esme like a cake for Sunday tea so she can kill two bids with one stone.

Esme's off to the shops

Daisy is very happy to see Esme

Esme picks her cake for Sunday tea and wants to know if she had met the new family. "oh yes I've met them they seem a nice family and I'm sure there going to fit in nicely round her." Esme wasn't so sure too many moving in round here and children make a lot of noise". Esme wasn't too taken with children. Horrible noisy, messy things. Well say's Esme "I can't stand here gossiping all day best get myself back home" with that she bids Daisy goodbye.

Well it's time I got home now as it's time for my elevenses say's Esme

The new house is now ready for the Mores family to move into.

The flat at the top of the house is for granny and granddad More

The living room in the main part of the house.

The sewing room.

The family bathroom.

and last of all the kitchen which granny More couldn't get in there quick enough to try it out with a really good baking session. That should make the family feel right at home now.
